Hi

Welcome to A Goodinspiration. I document my travel, style, food, and inspiration. Hope you have a nice stay!

Favorite Movies I haven't Watched

Favorite Movies I haven't Watched

I have many many favorite movies, but those aren’t the ones always making it onto my Pinterest boards. Most movie stills that I gravitate towards often are ones that I haven’t even watched. I save a little pin to my inspiration board, but can’t help feeling; am I an imposter?

I tend to gravitate to the “pretty” (don’t we all?): pretty art, pretty clothes, pretty books. So it comes as no surprise that this fondness extends towards pretty movies.

Here are four movies that I haven’t watched, but reading the Wikipedia plot should count for something.

The Talented Mr. Ripley

You’ve been made aware of my love for this movie, or rather the photos from this movie, in a previous post. Set in Italy with Gwyneth, Jude, and Matt occupying our screen, what’s not to love? I think the fashion is absolutely spectacular and I hope to watch the movie this spring or summer (I have to acknowledge the seasonal aspect)! I do think I might find myself skipping through some rather graphic scenes (again, known from the Wikipedia plot summary), but I don’t want to give away any spoilers.

Badlands

Two words: Sissy Spacek. I have scoured Pinterest for stills of this movie soaking in the dreamy 70s cinema and admiring Spacek’s outfits. I even showed a picture of Spacek’s hair in the movie for my haircut; that’s the confidence that I have in this film. I’m curious about another one of her films with a similar ambiance, Three Women, and of course I plan on watching Carrie come fall (again, seasonal).

Marie Antoinette

I love Sofia Coppola’s style, but I don’t think I’ve seen even any of her movies. I think Marie Antoinette will be the first for its period costumes and frolicking feel. I was happy to find out that the plot of the movie mainly focuses on the early time of her years in Versailles, but unfortunately we all know how they end.

Honorary Mention: Emma (Gywneth’s Version)

I have seen a version of Emma, the 2020 one with Anya Taylor Joy. It is incredible I do want to watch The 90s one as well, or “Gwyneth’s”, because the visuals seem similarly stunning. I love the soft colors and flowers throughout the clothing and environment.

I kept my word, didn’t I? Another post! Huzzah! Is that a teaser? Hopefully I’ll have even another one in the coming weeks.

Hope you enjoyed!
